I am somewhat confused by the rather offensive message that you sent to me -- between the CAPITAL LETTERS and choice of punctuation, I'm led to believe that you feel some act of subterfuge has occurred. While you are correct, it is not me in the photo, I can guarantee the photo is a 'Douglas Moore original'. The person in the photo is a fine Scot and a friend of mine, Alan Muir (of course you already know this). Perhaps you are unaware of the circumstances leading up to the Gathering and my participation. I do not feel obligated to provide the details, rather I will simply state that the situation was not ideal. I did attend, had an overall enjoyable day, made new friends, such as Alan and Shirley Muir, and took it upon myself to take pictures to share with those that weren't fortunate enough to attend -- those are now posted, apparently for all to comment on, informed or not. I also provided a summary of the day's events to several on the site, pieces of which were posted by Jann to the website's main page. I would think someone even taking a cursory review of what I 've written would note my general 'thanks to all'. I will summarise by simply saying that the photos were a gift to the members of this website, posted with no agenda or expectations. I am a working man with a working, and 8 month pregnant, wife -- we have many day-to-day priorities; detailing the photos that I posted originally to only my page on this website is a low priority task. Should you feel this to be unacceptably wreckless, then please discuss with Jann -- she posted the photos for all to see. I am happy to discuss further with you, but would expect more tact and common courtesy in any future correspondence. D. Moore

Of course questions may be asked, and equally understood that not all agree on the answers give tho fact & true.
The 'other' party in question would not take what was given as the answer to the same question as acceptable. They instead took a position of opposition and it esculated to a very disconcerting affair.
As this is the Clann Muirs community site, and center hub to meet other Muirs (all Moores, More, Moir, Mure ect) ....,to address such matters needs to be done through proper channels and not protesting on a public board. Email is the prefered method as is postal mail and telephone.
What has transpired through time is as it is. If there are enough members that are unhappy with the now standing Head of House, there are steps and protocals to take to make the required and appropiate changes.
This also was attempted to be explained to the other party, however, they stood steadfast in their mind set and there was no calming or soothing of them that was successful. Rationale direction failed.
Personally I loved the spirit and spunk of the other, however, the public board is not the appropiate place to debate internal clann matters, espically of a decade ago. Again, protocal and proper channels.
Kurt Moore is whom you will have to address as the Clann Society is his creation.

As well as welcoming you to the online Clann Muir community, I wish to
address your instant questioning of Andrew Moore as to his qualifications of being The Head Of The House of Muir, and his right to lead.
The last time this was addressed it was not accepted by the party requesting the information. The due process of such an appointment has come from Lord Lyon as a legal protocal to be followed. This was done in accordance of the steps and procedures given.
Lord Lyon approved, the Clann voted and here we are.
Now, if you wish to go into the fact that not all blooded Muirs voted or even knew of this, then all that can be said is that since 1999 all has been on the internet and advertised at games, and other social clan gatherings.
If there was more interest through the years the clann numbers surly would be greater, as such..but there was not.
