Thanks John, i am very interested in finding more about the Muirs from my family, the only information i have is that i have 7 uncles in scotland and wales somewhere. I lived in Scotland for two years when i was very young and we stayed with the family. I hope to find some info and try to reconnect with them in the near future.
Thank you for the comment and information about Clann Geneology.
Our people are from the "Tipton County, Tennessee" area, and I have searched ad nauseum for information pertaining to our family prior to 1857 to no avail. I will follow up with your Point of Contact's (POC's) as soon as I can.
As a Scots-Irishman, I'm honored to align myself to Clann Muir. I haven't joined anyother Clann (ie Campbell, Gordon, Leslie, or Boyd) and don't expect to. I beleive in my heart that all roads lead to Clann Muir, and until I learn different - I'm a Muir decendant.
OK, will do! Thanks! I was genuinely confused. I joined Clan Campbell last year, but the more I read of their history the less I want to be part of them. I want to be a MOORE! (or Muir as the case may be)
Hi John, have a question for you. In reading the Stone Mountain Highland Game's web site I noticed this; "Clans invited to sponsor are limited to those Scottish Clans whose chief is entitled to three feathers or, if the chiefship is vacant, would be entitled to wear three feathers upon being recognized as chief by the Lord Lyon." Do we qualify?? I keep reading conflicting stuff.
Hello, john sorry its taken this long to get back to you ? been up to my ears in work. Thanks for dropin me a line to say hello, hope your well speak soon. kirk
