Best possible news! Hello Cousin John! I left you 2 e-mails on your home e-address. The one was sent before I found your reply verifying our "cousinship" so, just know I did then read the good news and responded with the 2nd e-mail, making more sense than first. Glad you also found that our Clan has resurged since late 1990's!! I found it in 2000 when I had hoped for more data on our Clan with all the internet help we have these days. Sure enough, we had resurged. Kurt was great to get us started! More news later. Thanks for replying so quickly! Carol

Hello John! I think you are my cousin! Was your father John Cruikshanks Muir, "J.C", and the eldest of five brothers from West Virginia? Mother= Needra? Is your elder sister Stella and the other Barbara? If so, I have been trying to find you all. I have contacts with other family members. Wouldn't it be special if we found each other again via Clann Muir? If you are not my cousin, it is still so nice to meet you and welcome you! I am Carol Muir Fauster, Robert Muir's daughter. One thing I would also hope to find out if we are related, are the real names of Granny Muir's parents and paternal grandparents. There seems to be some misinformation on this. However it turns out, a bonny and sincere welcome and looking forward to hearing from you and any interests you have. Wishing you a blessed day! Carol

Welcome John,
I would be glad to chat geneaology if you like. I am hung up trying to connect my Patrick Moore out of Ulster 1724 when he came to America with his sons whom some held title "Gentleman" and were Constables in Halifax County Virginia. I had my brother take the DNA test, and we match some folks spelling their name Muir. I would love to know of your line as well. Have a blessed day!

Dear John:

I do have quite a bit of info on your line ... back at least 2 1658 on 1 line. I do see where you've had at least once when 2 lines of MUIRs merged as well. It would be a good size text file ... It's too much to post on here ... because the "limitations" on "characters/message" is so small. If you be so kind as to send me your e-mail addy, I'll be glad to send you what I know connects to your line.
Sincerely, Randy (tree9616@aol.com)

Dear John:

I'd love to "chat genealogy" with you some time. I do have info on your line that I'd be happy to share with you. I do save any & all MUIR info and try to weave it together as best as possible. This generic MUIR database I've been working on currently has 96,000+ folks in it. If you wanna "chat" about this, please write me at my e-mail: tree9616@aol.com.

Sincerely,
Randy Muir

Welcome Clann Brother,
Just jump in, (don't be shy) blog, meet others, post photos, videos, start forum topics, and have all the fun you want.
There are lots of great people here from all over the world.

I have trying to move to New Mexico for several years now..
I envy you your being there. The Montana winters are way too much for me
anymore. I keep praying everyday, somehow, it will be answered.
Now I can say I know someone there...LOL

I am happy you chose to be a part of our online Clann Muir family.

Blessings,
